Welcome to data.gov.scot

The Scottish Government is building a new service to make it easier to find, access and reuse Scotland’s data.

What’s happening

We are designing and building a new public data platform, alongside tools for data publishers to publish and manage data.

This site will become a new home for open data about Scotland. It will replace statistics.gov.scot and provide a foundation for a wider programme to bring together more datasets and services over time, as well as improve data access and reuse.

When it’s launching

We plan to launch a public beta in late summer 2026. Until then, the current service will continue to be available:
https://statistics.gov.scot

We will move all data publishing to the new platform at launch. For a period of time after launch, the current site will remain available as a reference, and existing data will continue to be accessible.
